It would seem that every facet of the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferencing and Events) industry has been hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic, and that includes incentive travel, where travel rewards have come to a screeching halt for 2020. We foresee that the industry should start to rebound in the second quarter of 2021. These findings come from a study released in August this year, by the IRF (Incentive Research Foundation).
“Although incentive travel has been postponed, employee motivation and recognition continue to be critically important during these challenging times,” said Stephanie Harris, IRF president. “Incentive program owners are shifting their 2020 strategies to focus on virtual recognition events and providing alternate awards–planning a return to incentive travel in 2021.” At Uwin Iwin, we fully agree with this statement and as a leading incentives company; we believe that we can still motivate business productivity and employees during these uncertain times.
Specialising in many Employee Reward & Recognition Programmes; while travel is on a pause – we have various alternative solutions, no matter what budget you have! And although no one can predict with utmost certainty how long the travel incentive industry will be in limbo, a pause in incentive travel is only temporary.
We believe that Incentive travel creates lasting memories and strengthens relationships, benefitting both the qualifier and the company. The ROI of a properly curated incentive travel program will always outweigh cash rewards. One cast-iron certainty is that Uwin Iwin is still standing strong, keeping the focus and goals of all our clients as a top priority, and will remain strong once incentive travel resumes.
Whilst the world patiently awaits a proven vaccine for COVID-19, we have equipped ourselves with the necessary knowledge and research to ensure that all incentive travel rewards for 2021 will not only follow all health and safety protocols but will continue to maintain the high standards that you are accustomed to when partnering with Uwin Iwin.
